Overlord is a Japanese light novel series. The action packed series is written by Kugane Maruyama and illustrated by So-Bin.Madhouse has adapted the novel into an anime television series. Currently the show has 3 seasons with 13 episodes each. The first season began airing from July to September, 2015.
Overlord also has two films focusing on the events from the first season. The movies were released in Japan in February, 2017 and March, 2017, respectively. The second season aired from January to April, 2018. The third season premiered the same year from July, 2018, to October, 2018. The anime script writers had discussed that there is a possibility that Overlord will return for season 4.
Overlord season 4: what we know so far
Without next season, we will never find out if Ainz will manage to conquer Yggdrasil’s whole world? Will someone stronger show up to challenge Ainz? We will never find answers to our questions without another season.
Right now, the only way to know all the answers without a sequel is to read the manga. But after three banger seasons with amazing graphics we are not sure we would want to read the novel series to find out Ainz’s faith.
We still don’t have any official information about Overlord season 4. The anime lovers are only speculating that the series will be launched sometime in 2021. At least we can rest assured that there will be another season.
Overlord season 4: Release Date
After Overlord’s third season, fans have started questioning whether the popular anime return for season 4 or not. As an anime lover we are quite used to the long breaks between the two seasons, but after a two year hiatus we have begun worrying if the anime series is potentially cancelled.
Overlord season 3 came out in 2018 and it has. been more than two years since then. Overlord season 3 ended with a tense atmosphere surrounding the series.
We are expecting Season 4 to be released this year. However, due to the global pandemic, the release date of many shows were stalled, and Overlord Season 4 has also suffered the same fate. But we have some exciting news for all of you.
