After contributing to the Electronic art studio for almost a decade the Director and Chief of staff Jonathan warner has decided to quit, apparently just after they decided to not continue development of Anthem.
Reason Why Jonathan Warner Leave BioWare
So Warner took it to tweeter and wrote,” So today is my last day at BioWare and I’m moving on to do new things.” further added “he’s grateful for the 10 years and that Dragon Age, Mass Effect and Knights of the Old Republic are all in good hands.”
Before working for BioWare Warner have had a quite impressive working experience from working with Walt Disney in toy story and few other films and also as a test lead for Microsoft. Along with begin the brains behind Anthem Jonathan also worked on other projects with EA like he was the game director on Mass Effect: Andromeda and a producer for the trilogy of Mass Effect, Warner has contributed a lot to the company in his days.
Although there are speculations the departure may be related to cancellation of Anthem but it hasn’t been confirmed yet, EA decided to cancel the game for the criticism it received all the trouble the game caused with the last update and there were a lot of issues for which a specific team was placed to check the glitches but finally after much thought in February the game was deserted.
BioWare employee and Executive producer of Anthem Christian Dailey explained the cancellation of the Anthem saying that, “Working from home during the pandemic has had an impact on our productivity and not everything we had planned as a studio before COVID-19 can be accomplished without putting undue stress on our teams.”
So, to reduce the stress and burden EA is letting go of game as it has been quite challenging recently and now BioWare is focusing on it’s other projects and is solemnly working to make them a success we’ve seen few glimpse of these new projects Dragon Age and mass Effect teaser were released by the developers.
