Marvel’s Spiderman into the verse made was a massive hit. And the famous sneaker company Nike Jordans made a collaboration with the movie for a special pair of custom spider-verse Jordan 1.
Specifications of the sneaker:
The custom spider-verse Air Jordan 1 highs are the classic Jordans, Chicago colorway that is the shoe comes in a mix of Gym Red, Black, White, and Photo Blue with a new upper design and icy translucent outsole. These sneakers are special edition Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG ‘Origin Story’. Miles Morales the teenage superhero and the protagonist of the movie is seen wearing the exact same pair of sneakers in the movie.
There is also a reference on how many teenage kids now leave their Jordan laces united by choice, in the scene Peter Parker, Spiderman says to Miles that his sneakers are untied and he replies with, “But they’re 1s so I don’t really have to worry about it.”
Nike in their origin story for the sneakers has said that “Like Morales’ character, the AJ1 is known for defying the norm. Like the mask, the AJ1 can be worn by anyone and empower those who wear it to be heroic.”
Shameik Moore who is the voice behind the teenage protagonist, Miles Morales in the movie did a photoshoot with Nike Jordans and an interview and talked about the sneakers, how it is like in tribute to the character. It is now a part of Nike Jordans “The Ones” family.
Release of the OG sneakers and price:
The sneakers released on December 1st’ 2018 at the Premiere of Spiderman: Into the verse in LA. The retail for the public was set for 14th December in all Nike retails stores and their official website.
Price: The Sneakers are worth USD 160
The Sneakers made an enormous profit and this special edition was something everyone wanted, many people even resale the sneakers for a much higher price.
