After dating for a year and a half and announcing their engagement back in August 2015, The Dancing With the Stars judge and actress Julianne Hough exchanged vows with her beau, NHL star Brooks Laich in a romantic and natural outdoor alfresco lakeside ceremony in Idaho on July 2017.

Hough’s wedding was unquestionably just about as extravagant as her glittery DWTS ensembles. Wearing a custom Marchesa wedding dress, Hough boarded a boat with her fiancé on the enormous day that moved them to their outside function site—a verdant field on the shores of Lake Coeur d’Alene.
The wedding was designed by event planner Troy Williams of Simply Troy Lifestyle + Events and documented by Editorial Wedding Photographer Sarah Falugo. The wedding weekend was a celebration of love and nature — both of which were essential to the bride and groom as they are both free and adventurous people, the groom mentioned in an interview with People.com.
With bridesmaid Nina Dobrev and groomsmen Derek Hough next to them, the couple said their vows among blossom boxes of roses, tulips, greenery, as their visitors looked on sitting on rural wooden seats. Floral arrangements were all designed by Kristen Griffith- VanderYacht of Wild Bloom, including 100 flower boxes and approximately 200 garden roses in the reception centrepieces.
Later at their gathering, visitors were blessed to receive a sweets station and a firecrackers show that lit up the Idaho sky. Her sibling Derek Hough filled in as a groomsman, and according to reports, stars Nina Dobrev and Aaron Paul were among the 200 participants.
When asked about the choice of location during an interview, Hough spoke about how she spent her summer holidays there while growing up. “When I introduced Brooks to the lake, he fell in love with this special spot, and we knew this was where we wanted to raise our family and grow old together. It just felt right to be married here” Julianne, 28, told PEOPLE in an exclusive cover story.

Julianne wore a custom outfit from Marchesa, highlighting an altered darling neck area and a trumpet outline, while Brooks wore a black and white Brooks Brothers tuxedo.
The 28-year-old lady of the hour had the truly amazing closet for each movement. From her beach day swimming outfits to her welcome-dinner dress and practice outfit. The lovebirds had their Careless Ruler Charles Spaniels fill in as ring bearers for the enormous day and it truly looked like a scene out of a movie.Following the gathering, the guests appreciated a presentation of firecrackers.
