Staring Dylan O’Brein, Michael Keaton, and Saana Lathan the movie American Assassin was released in 2017 worldwide. Made on a budget of 33-63 million dollars, the movie collected only 67.2 million dollars, barely covering the cost. Directed by Michael Questa, it was written by Michael Finch, Stephen Schiff, Edward Zwick and Marshall Herskovitz. It is based on a Novel by Vince Flynn which was released in 2010.
Movie review
The movie was not much famous among the audience, the similar is reflected in its 6.2 ratings by IDMb. Rotten Tomatoes reports that only 34% of the viewers liked the movie. It was ruled out by viewers as predictable and cliché.
The super attractive and versatile cast of the movie however should not go uncredited. The actors played their roles convincingly and did not fail the viewers. The action sequence of the movie was much liked which made it worthy enough to be nominated for “Taurus World Stunt Awards for its best fights and scenes”.
Will there be American Assassin 2 ?
There are no news of the sequel yet. No official announcement has been made by the makers. However the positive review of the stunts performed by the cast may plant a seed of hope in the makers’ mind.
Although no announcement of the second part has been made yet, it is to be noted that the makers did not rule out the possibility of the sequel either.All that the fans can do at the moment is hope to watch their favourite stars on the screens once again.
