Kaguya-sama known formally as Kaguya-sama: Love is War, is a Japanese manga series belonging to the romantic comedy genre. The series has been penned down by Aka Akasaka and was published in Shueisha’s Miracle Jump magazine starting in Mau of 2015, before being transferred to another of their magazines, Weekly Young Jump in March of 2016. The English licensing rights for the manga in America lie with Viz Media.
The series premiered with its first release on May 19, 2015, and continues to be published to this very day. The series has enjoyed considerable popularity, with a two-season anime being adapted from it, of which a third season has also been announced, along with being adapted into a live-action film. The manga series has also been a recipient of the Shogakukan Manga Award, having won in the general category. Fans are now eagerly waiting for the release of Chapter 233 in order to see how the romance between the characters further blossoms and evolves.
The Premise of Kaguya-sama
The series is set in Shuchiin Academy, a fictional educational institute, with a specific focus on the senior high school division. The central characters of the series are Miyuki Shirogane and Kaguya Shinomiya, the President and Vice President of the Student Council of the academy respectively. Everyone thinks that they would make a perfect couple, including both of them. However, despite liking each other, they are too proud to confess their love, and thereby devise schemes to make the other confess, which is where the series gets its title, Love is War from.
Chapter 233: Release Date
As of now, Chapter 233 of the manga series is scheduled to release on August 5, 2021, or August 6, 2021, depending on the timezone in which one resides. There have been concerns arising about a potential delay in the release, given that the previous chapter was delayed due to the Olympics. While the possibility of this happening cannot be negated for sure, it is less likely to happen as the makers have not announced anything regarding a delay as of this point.
